ABOUT THE COMPANY

We are looking at the inspection industry in a different way, by creating a first-of-its-kind platform that solves a massive pain point in the real estate market. The long-term vision of the company is to create the most comprehensive dataset and API on all homes, by being a go-to marketplace for any type of inspections our customers need. We help homeowners, real estate agents, and investors by making home inspections easier. We have an online inspection booking platform that utilizes our nationwide network of 1000+ inspectors. For our consumers when booking an inspection, you can see reviews, pricing, and time availability of inspectors in your area. Our inspection reports are easy to read while being standardized and consistent. We also provide free repair cost estimates for every report published to our customers, to save time figuring out work item details. Using our inspection app, we can create customizable templates for each stakeholder to collect the exact information that they are looking for. We bring speed and scalability to the real estate transaction.

How do you show employees you appreciate them?

One of our key LPs is "We care about the people"- On a daily, we are checking in with current initiatives to make sure our employees know we would be nothing without them. We give daily shoutouts during our stand-ups to the good work our teammates are doing. We empower them to have ownership over their roles, and the company and encourage them to implement their new ideas. We use recognition tools for further kudos. Leaders and managers make time for every employee, whether it is to answer questions or provide mentorship. We trust our employees.. We encourage employees to put themselves and their well-being first. We cater lunches on Wednesdays in our Seattle workspace, and fly out all of our employees several times a year to collaborate in person, and take them out for some fun! We are feedback oriented. We are still figuring things out, but we are always in learning mode even with our employee lifestyle. We collected feedback and thoughts from our employees to develop our culture and not stay complacent (office vibe).

How are you creating a workplace of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging?

We are focused on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. This is who we are, not just something we say. We have an in house, culture focused group, who builds out regular events, and once a month meeting to help keep the feeling of belonging. The events are dreamed up by the employees themselves. These are things like a company cookbook, virtual challenges, game nights and meet ups. We love that our employees all show up as their authentic selves. Recruiting side, we are dedicated to utilizing tools to create job descriptions that speak to our dedication in the D&I space, as well choosing to source on diversified job boards, offering diverse internships and gearing towards blind resume review and interviews.

Why should someone work at your company?

I asked our employees this question. They shared that they feel heard and appreciated. It is exciting to be the only start-up tackling this vertical, and they feel motivated but what we are achieving.
