We cultivate a culture of gratitude in our daily interactions and we encourage connection by hosting happy hours, trivia events, team dinners, and virtual games. We celebrate birthdays and work-anniversaries. We also hold annual company retreats to ensure the company has the opportunity to spend quality time together in person despite being a remote-friendly company. Last year, we hosted our company retreat at a farm in Sonoma where we went to a local wine tasting, held a cooking competition, and brought in a meditation expert who conducted team bonding exercises and training on transcendental meditation. We also got to visit one of our vineyard clients in Sonoma! This year we’re planning a retreat to an airstream camp in Yosemite. In addition to retreats we also do farm visits to clients as well as to the CEO's family farm. This gives employees the opportunity to appreciate each other, our customers, and the work the farmworkers we provide visas for do on a day to day basis. We also have a company book club, a virtual board game club, etc. Additionally, our CEO is a big foodie so we try to fly everyone to the office a couple times a year and do fun dinners with great food!
Inclusion is at the heart of Seso. Our mission is built around helping migrant farmworkers find meaningful, safe employment opportunities in the US. We are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion as a leading tenant of our core values because we believe these lead to a stronger company culture, more diversity of thought in our decision making, and more trust amongst each other. As a company that is focused on making guest worker immigration easier for both employers and agricultural workers, we bring diversity to the front of our business. Our company values match our mission. From leadership to the front line, diversity, equity, and inclusion is a team effort. We celebrate and promote individuality and foster a culture of belonging, encouraging people to express themselves while appreciating differences and commonalities. 70% of our company are Spanish speakers, reflecting the population we serve at the core of our business and more than 50% come from underrepresented populations.
Our mission at Seso is to provide agricultural workers with meaningful, safe employment and to help strengthen America’s food production system. Working at Seso means that your actions are directly improving the lives of farmers and agricultural workers and supporting American agricultural production. Seso is full of sharp, passionate and humble team members who are constantly developing our product and improving the customer experience. This atmosphere motivates team members to collaborate and stay connected to each other and our mission.
