How do you show employees you appreciate them?

At UserGems, our culture of appreciation begins before a new Gem starts. New hires get an option to choose their laptop and we give all new hires a stipend to outfit their work environment with whatever they need. 

Our #appreciations Slack channel is constantly filled with shout-outs, and every Thursday our employees enjoy lunch on us and socialize virtually with their peers from around the world on the UG lunch/ dinner hour. This culture of acknowledgement comes from the top with our leaders being passionate about the employee experience. You can catch them pretty much any time, and are regulars at our Thursday lunches.

Quarterly and annual get togethers take place company and department wide and provide an opportunity to learn, socialize, and bond as a team in person.

How are you creating a workplace of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging?

Located across the globe, our people come from many backgrounds and experiences. We’re fun and funky, and value a “come as you are” attitude. 

We foster an environment of curiosity and consistently ask for feedback through engagement and pulse surveys. There are feedback sessions with each team to dig into survey topics where we support, respect, and listen to each other’s experiences. 

We recognize global holidays and love sharing about our cultural experiences from around the world.
